About the Author

Maria Luisa Frisa, fashion critic and curator, is Director of the BA Program in Fashion Design and Multimedia Arts at IUAV University of Venice. She recently curated the exhibition and the book Bellissima: Italy and High Fashion 1945-1968. In 2014 she contributed to the catalogues The Glamour of Italian Fashion 1945-2014 and Fashion Mix. Mode d'ici. Among her latest books: Italian Fashion Now; Diana Vreeland After Diana Vreeland; Florence Fashion Atlas. Elena Loewenthal is an Italian writer and translator living in Turin, who also collaborates with the daily newspaper La Stampa. She also teaches a course on Hebrew culture at the Faculty of Philosophy, Universita San Raffaele, Milan.
