Antonio and Piero del Pollaiuolo

"Silver and Gold, Painting and Bronze..."
Book Hero Magic crafted this summary to help describe this book. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! Summary
This volume explores the artistic legacy of the Pollaiuolo brothers, focusing on the celebrated Portrait of a Lady from the Poldi Pezzoli museum in Milan, a pinnacle of Florentine portraiture in the late 15th century. It delves into the works of Antonio, a multifaceted goldsmith, painter, and sculptor; his brother Piero, a painter; and the lesser-known Silvestro, whose early death curtailed his career. Through detailed scientific analyses and research on techniques and materials, the book presents a rich collection of paintings, drawings, engravings, sculptures, bronzes, and applied art objects from their workshop.
