Ad Infinitum! New and Selected Poems gathers work from over thirty years and four of Alan May's previous books.

Praise for Alan May's poetry:

Dead Letters is a work of great beauty and force, of intelligence and stark humility." - Maurice Manning

"[Alan May's] vivid imagination expresses itself in brilliant juxtapositions of imagery and language. His work has an immediate power and, beneath its often-absurdist surface, is rich and haunting." - Bill Knott

"The quirky wrapping of these poems peels away to reveal that, against all odds, underneath the everyday horrors of the world, survives a tenderness, alive, capacious, nothing less than miraculous." - Cintia Santana

  • The Iliad
When Emily Wilson's translation of The Odyssey appeared in 2017—revealing the ancient poem in a contemporary idiom that was "fresh, unpretentious and lean" (Madeline Miller, Washington Post)—critics lauded it as "a revelation" (Susan Chira, New York Times) and "a cultural landmark" (Charlotte Higgins, Guardian) that would forever change how Homer is read in English. Now Wilson has returned with an...

    Split Enz
'My favourite band. Ever! And certainly the best dressed.' Sam Neill Split Enz were never designed to fit.
