Just before graduating, Maye Farsey has one more hurdle to clear: an internship with her daunting, rigid, unfriendly professor. Sounds like a nightmare rather than an opportunity of a lifetime. At least until there’s an extra bonus added: a guarantee into the school’s graduate programme—tuition free.

Andrew Chaplin would much rather have his summer to himself. But, in an effort to secure tenure at the university where he teaches, he’s agreed to take on a student intern to give him that extra edge over his colleagues.
