Mihi Ever After by Tae Keller introduces us to Mihi Whan Park, a girl who adores fairy tales. More than anything, she dreams of becoming a princess, despite everyone insisting she's not the princess type.

But everything changes when Mihi, along with her new friends, Savannah and Reese, stumble upon a portal to a fairy tale realm hidden inside the fridge of their school library. Finally, Mihi has her chance: she and her friends can learn to be princesses! The catch is that they must first endure a very rigorous training program.

However, princess training isn't quite what Mihi imagined, and the fairy tale world defies her expectations. As Savannah and Reese decide they're ready to return home, Mihi faces a difficult choice: should she remain loyal to her friends and her future at home, or pursue her dreams of being a princess?
