Tade Thompson's novel has been praised as a magnificent tour de force, skilfully weaving original and disturbing ideas. Readers find it smart, gripping, and fabulous, with echoes of works like Neuromancer and Arrival, yet uniquely its own. Described as a fiercely weird and breathtaking biopunk tale, it is both ambitious and captivating, offering one of the most imaginative alien invasion scenarios.
