Life of the Party! The Susie K Files 1
Susie K is the life of the party (not!). But her mum is convinced that Susie can make it as a social butterfly ...
Life of the Party! The Susie K Files 1 by Shamini Flint tells the story of Susie K, a girl who prefers science over netball and considers the class goldfish her best friend. Susie's mum struggles to believe that Susie is genuinely happy this way, and with the best of intentions, she continually tries to encourage Susie to be something she isn't. The last thing Susie wants is to let her mum down.
Excitement fills Susie's mum when she hears that Susie is supposedly attending Clementine's party. The catch? She hasn't been invited yet. Despite wanting to stay home and read about endangered animals, Susie decides to employ her problem-solving skills to become the life of the party!
This fresh new series explores how Susie's unique approach to solving problems combined with her mum's optimistic expectations lead to hilarious results.

About the Author
Shamini Flint lives in Singapore with her husband and two children. She began her career in law in Malaysia and also worked at an international law firm in Singapore. She travelled extensively around Asia for her work, before resigning to be a stay-at-home mum, writer, part-time lecturer and environmental activist, all in an effort to make up for her 'evil' past as a corporate lawyer! Shamini has written many books for adults and children, including the popular Diary of a Soccer Star series.
Sally Heinrich is a writer, illustrator and printmaker, who has published and exhibited widely in Australia and Asia. She has illustrated more than forty books as well as writing and illustrating her own picture books, novels and non-fiction. Sally has lived in Singapore, Sydney and Darwin and is now living in Adelaide.
