The Run-Out Groove by Andrew Cartmel is praised for its brilliant narrative, likened to the nostalgic charm and depth of an old 45rpm record. The story intricately weaves elements of crime, cats, and rock & roll, providing an authentic depiction of the music scene both past and present, and presents a mystery that captivates and perplexes until the very end.
