Our Eva by Anna Jacobs tells the story of Eva Kershaw, a woman who once believed she would never marry and found peace living a quiet life with her dear friend Alice.
However, the tranquillity of Eva's life is disrupted when Alice falls ill, and her nephew, Gus, imposes himself into their household. Driven by the desire to prevent Eva from repeating her own mistakes, Alice alters her will, strongly compelling Eva and Gus to marry after her passing.
Eva, determined to fulfil her late friend's wishes, agrees to the marriage. Yet, beneath the surface, Gus is not what he appears to be, placing Eva in grave danger as she uncovers the reality of her situation.
