Connect theory to practice with a comprehensive pathophysiology textbook that brings clinical concepts to life for nursing and healthcare students.

Understanding how diseases disrupt normal body function is fundamental for nursing and healthcare students, and essential for effective patient assessment and care planning. Fundamentals of Applied Pathophysiology delivers a clear, accessible introduction to this important topic, crafted by experienced nursing educators and practitioners.

Two new chapters on genetics and death and dying respond to the evolving landscape of healthcare, encouraging reflection and deeper understanding of contemporary challenges.

Clinical observation boxes, investigation guides, red flag alerts, and medication guidance bridge theory and practiceβ€”helping you apply knowledge directly to patient care.

Case studies, activities, and key terms in every chapter reinforce understanding and support ongoing learning.

Content aligned with the latest Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) standards ensures readiness for safe, compassionate, and effective practice.

A multidisciplinary perspective and accessible style connect anatomy, physiology, and clinical application for real-world competence.

Ideal for pre-registration nursing students and allied health students, this comprehensive resource fosters curiosity, confidence, and professional growthβ€”helping you become a key member of the health and care team.
