About the Author

Christopher Gravett is a former Senior Curator at the Royal Armouries and a recognised authority on the arms, armour and warfare of the medieval world. He has worked as an advisor for numerous TV and Film productions. His previous books for Osprey Publishing include Elite 17:Knights at Tournament, Warrior 1: Norman Knight 950-1204 AD and Campaign 13: Hastings 1066.

Richard Hook
is one of the world's greatest military illustrators and has contributed to more than 30 Osprey titles.

Christa Hook is one of Osprey's most popular illustrators, known for her attention to detail and narrative realisation. Her work for Osprey Publishing includes Warrior 1: Norman Knight, Warrior 10: Saracen Faris, and Campaign 56: Eggmuhl 1809.
