About the Author
Angela M. Gayton, is a lecturer in Applied Linguistics and Education at the School of Critical Studies, University of Glasgow. Angela has a strong publication history, including the 2019 textbook in the Edinburgh Textbooks in Applied Linguistics series, Teaching Language and Promoting Citizenship (with Mairin Hennebry-Leung). Kenneth Fordyce is a lecturer in TESOL at Moray House School of Education, University of Edinburgh. Alongside decades of teaching experience both in the UK and internationally, Kenneth has written and contributed to a number of textbooks, including most recently Pragmatics. A Resource Book for Students (2021, with J. Cutting). Mairin Hennebry-Leung is a lecturer in Languages and TESOL at the School of Education, University of Tasmania Australia. Over the past decade she has taught and convened courses in Applied Linguistics in the UK, Hong Kong and Australia. In addition to her EUP textbook with Angela Gayton, she has published widely on language learning, multilingualism & citizenship.
