N. K. Jemisin's riveting Broken Earth Trilogy has shattered records and transcended boundaries, earning her the distinction of being the only novelist to win three Hugo Awards in three consecutive years. This exquisitely presented box set brings together all three groundbreaking novels for the first time, offering fans a complete, immersive experience in a world unlike any other.

Set in the tumultuous landscapes of the Stillness, a world perpetually disturbed by seismic upheaval, where the Earth's power can be both a tool and a weapon, these novels explore themes of survival, power, and family in a narrative praised as 'intricate and extraordinary' by the New York Times.

In this world of active volcanoes, shifting tectonics, and deadly earthquakes, warring factions vie for control, morality is twisted, and a fractured Earth mirrors a family torn apart. Jemisin's deft storytelling weaves these elements into a compelling and thought-provoking saga.

This box set is an ideal gift for connoisseurs of transformative fantasy fiction, one that will captivate and challenge readers.

Book 1: The Fifth Season

This is the way the world ends... for the last time.

It begins with a stunning geological event: a rift across the heart of the world's sole continent, spewing ash and blotting out the sun. This catastrophe heralds the end, launching a sequence of events marked by death, betrayal, and the resurfacing of ancient wounds. In this apocalyptic environment, known as the Stillness, the power of the Earth can be harnessed, but it exacts a heavy price. As a murdered son and a missing daughter tear at her heart, Essun must navigate this merciless landscape to find her family and protect what remains.

Book 2: The Obelisk Gate

The Season of endings grows darker, as civilization fades into the long cold night.

Essun, now having found a semblance of refuge, continues her desperate search for her missing daughter, Nassun. Instead, she must deal with Alabaster Tenring, the very individual who has initiated the destruction of the world. Alabaster harbours a request that only Essun can fulfil, one that could shift the balance between survival and annihilation in their faltering civilisation.

Book 3: The Stone Sky

The Moon will soon return. Whether this heralds the destruction of humankind or something worse will depend on two women.

Essun has now gained the unparalleled powers of Alabaster Tenring. With this incredible might, she aims to find Nassun and create a world where every outcast child can live safely. However, for Nassun, this newfound mastery comes too late. She has already seen the world's cruelty and embraced a harsh truth her mother refuses to acknowledge: that some evils cannot be cleansed, only destroyed. The fate of the world hangs in the balance, as mother and daughter stand on the precipice of a new era.
