About the Author

Emma Carlson Berne has written and edited more than two dozen books for young people. She holds a master's degree in composition and rhetoric from Miami University. Emma lives in Cincinnati, Ohio, with her husband and two sons. Visit her online at emmacarlsonberne.com. Daimon Hampton is a comic book artist from the Southside of Chicago. He has been working on comics since 2012. His art style mixes his love for manga, superhero comics, and animation to communicate that confidence is overrated. He's not-so-well-known for his work on Mae, The DC New Talent Showcase 2023, and Jon Kent: This Internship is My Kryptonite, but mostly for ranting in public.
