Fate of the Argosi follows Ferius Parfax, who is finally ready to embark on her journey as an Argosi— a wandering philosopher and righter of wrongs. However, she has debts to settle. While breaking a notorious thief, Arissa, out of prison, Ferius encounters one of the remnants of her people, the Mahdek.

Chedran leads a group of young Mahdek determined to secure a future for their people, free from persecution by Jan'Tep mages. Having repaid her debt to the thief Arissa, who had befriended her many years ago, Ferius must now determine what she owes to the society of her birth. Meanwhile, her feelings towards Arissa grow increasingly complicated.

About the Author

Sebastien de Castell had just finished a degree in Archaeology when he started work on his first dig. Four hours later he realised how much he actually hated archaeology and left to pursue a very focused career as a musician, ombudsman, interaction designer, fight choreographer, teacher, project manager, actor and product strategist. His only defence against the charge of unbridled dilettantism is that he genuinely likes doing these things and that, in one way or another, each of these fields plays a role in his writing. He sternly resists the accusation of being a Renaissance Man in the hopes that more people will label him that way.

Sebastien lives in Vancouver with his lovely wife and two belligerent cats. Follow Sebastien at www.decastell.com or on Twitter: @decastell
