A survey of residential projects by Australia's leading minimalist architect, Sean Godsell.
The first survey of residential projects designed by award-winning Australian architect Sean Godsell.
Sean Godsell: Houses by Sean Godsell presents an in-depth look at the work of an award-winning pioneer of 'Australian bush minimalism'. Godsell has made a significant impact on the global architecture scene.
This survey of his residential architecture features twelve houses and dwellings across Australia. Each is illustrated with full-colour photography, alongside the architect's hand-drawn plans and exploratory sketches. These elements illuminate how each house connects to its surrounding landscape.
The book includes an insightful essay by Godsell, discussing the influences of Australia's unique landscapes and culture on his work. It also features an introduction by the renowned critic and commentator Philip Goad, who explores the achievements of Godsell's career and the global importance of his visionary designs.
