This beautifully illustrated card set is a practical tool for promoting emotional literacy and creative storytelling with children aged from 4 to 8 years. The central characters, a boy and a girl, express and share different feelings, both positive and difficult, brought to life through visual metaphor.
Following the characters' range of expressions, children are encouraged to recognise and explore emotions in safe ways. Cards can be used in different ways; children can be invited to choose a card to match how they feel or create their own stories about the characters. In stepping into different scenes, children can develop empathy, both for others and themselves.
