Phonic Books Magic Belt is designed for intervention in reading, particularly focusing on phonics, SEN, and dyslexia. This decodable series provides explicit instruction for practising and consolidating reading skills, addressing reading knowledge gaps, and enhancing fluency.
When Zak's grandfather falls ill, Zak must embark on a quest to find ten magical gems to help cure him. This action-packed quest story guides readers from basic CVC and CVCC word texts through to alternative consonants, consonant digraphs, and the suffixes -ed and -ing.
Magic Belt comprises 12 decodable books for older readers who have mastered simple CVC words. It shares the same phonic progression as Phonic Books That Dog! and can be used in tandem to reinforce phonemic knowledge and reading skills.
