Eight years ago, Nix Adams started posting videos on Facebook while she was freshly out of jail, in order to show her kids that she was sober and on the path back to them. It was after her youngest child, Alaska, died suddenly of a virus that a spiral of grief and then addiction led Nix to five years of chaos, resulting in a stint in maximum security prison where she finally hit rock bottom and started to work her way back up.

Now, she's one of Aotearoa's most beloved storytellers, with a whānau of almost three million people watching her raw, funny and honest videos on social media.
