The Monarch Files: A Monsterverse Manual will have a large focus on Mothra, as 2026 marks both the 65th anniversary of the character and the 30th anniversary of the Heisei-era Mothra trilogy.

Earlier films in the Monsterverse similarly wowed fans, with Godzilla (2014) grossing $529M, Kong: Skull Island (2017) grossing $566.7M, and Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019) grossing $386.6M.
