The Book of Heroes by Miyuki Miyabe has received mixed reviews, with some readers praising its imaginative world-building and narrative depth, while others felt the pacing was uneven. Many appreciate the author's unique blend of fantasy elements with a coming-of-age story, noting that Miyabe's prose effectively captures a young protagonist's quest in a richly crafted universe. However, some readers were less engaged, citing a preference for a more straightforward plot.
