This beautifully photographed book features a wide array of new arresting projects (many not published), including a luxe modern Hamptons beach house decorated in all gold, silver, and white; two divine Manhattan townhouses—one full of modern art and eighteenth-century furniture, and another for a young family that has a stylish vivid palette; and a colourful grand Bohemian Greenwich Village apartment incorporating mid-century furniture.
Also included is Papachristidis's over-the-top extraordinary dining room from the 2016 Kips Bay Decorator Show House. Featured on the cover of Veranda, in what remains one of their most popular issues, it has become an iconic room.
Throughout the book are tabletop settings styled by Papachristidis that are integrated into many of the featured homes. He shows his clients how to mix such wide-ranging elements as contemporary dishes with antique decorative objects to create eye-catching tableaux. About the Author
Alex Papachristidis opened Alex Papachristidis Interiors in 1987 in New York City. Since then, he has established himself as one of the foremost tastemakers in the design world, named one of Architectural Digest's Top 100' in 2019 (and for the last three years), and as an influential curator with the launch of his critically acclaimed tabletop business, Everyday Elegance Collection (in 2016). This book will coincide with the release of Alex's new line of carpets. His work has been regularly published in many shelter publications including Architectural Digest, Veranda, and Elle Decor. In 1992 Harry Slatkin and his wife Laura established Slatkin & Co., the premier home fragrance company that also has created home fragrance collections for such leading brands as Ralph Lauren, Oscar de la Renta, and Christian Dior. Mitchell Owens is a lifestyle journalist, who regularly contributes to Architectural Digest.
