About the Author
Mike Avila is an Emmy Award-winning TV producer and author who has written a number of books examining film, television and comics, including The Art and Making of Foundation Seasons 1 and 2, Wolverine: Creating Marvel’s Legendary Mutant, The Art and Making of Aquaman, and The Man in the High Castle: Creating the Alt World. Mike chronicles the world of pop culture for outlets such as IGN and SYFY Wire. He also produced the documentary Todd McFarlane: Like Hell I Won’t for SYFY as well as the five-part docuseries So Much Damage: The History of Image Comics.
Joe Tracz is a co-showrunner, writer, and executive producer for Netflix's live-action One Piece. For Netflix, he previously created Dash & Lily, winning an Emmy for Outstanding Writing, and was a writer/producer on all three seasons of Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events. Other work includes Percy Jackson & The Olympians on Disney+, and the Broadway musicals Be More Chill and The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical.
