In 2026, the UK will welcome the Bayeux Tapestry to British soil for the first time in 900 years, with a landmark exhibition at the British Museum. With Tapestry enthusiast and medieval-art lover Mia Hansson as your guide, celebrate this extraordinary moment by colouring your way through the story of the Norman Conquest of England in 1066, and bring some of the world's most iconic embroidery to life in your own creative style.
Bring the Bayeux Tapestry to life by colouring 60 historic scenes featuring bishops, knights, ships, shields, horses and, of course, King Harold with the fateful arrow in his eye.
Discover clear, artist-friendly linework designed specifically for artists of all skill levels. Choose from 60 full-page illustrations: simply select your scene and start colouring, using pencils, pens or felt-tips. Each design offers a precise, authentic outline to help you focus on creativity, mindfulness, and the magic of medieval art.

About the author: In 2016, Mia Hansson began embroidering a full-scale replica of the Bayeux Tapestry, using fabrics and threads as close as possible to those used in the original work. She is due to finish this remarkable achievement in time for the 1,000th anniversary of William the Conqueror's birth in 2027. The Bayeux Tapestry spans almost 70 metres (77 yards) and features over 1,500 designs. Her first book with Search Press, Embroider the Bayeux Tapestry, is due to publish in June 2026.

About the Author
Mia learnt cross stitch from her grandmother at the age of five. She continued her needle journey through school to become a Viking-age reenactment seamstress. In 2016 she started making a full-scale Bayeux Tapestry replica, knowing that it would take at least ten years to complete. What started as a labour of love became a personal challenge of epic proportions! Mia has 13K members on her Facebook group, Mia's Bayeux Tapestry Story. She lives in Cambridgeshire, UK.
