Immerse yourself in the enchanting world of Where is the Green Sheep?, a beloved children's book by the acclaimed Author Mem Fox and illustrator Judy Horacek. This special foiled edition celebrates 20 years of their delightful adventure, offering a collector's edition that sparkles with joy and nostalgia.

In this whimsical tale, young readers are invited on a captivating journey to find the elusive green sheep. Along the way, they meet a variety of sheep with distinct and amusing attributes: the blue sheep, the red sheep, the bath sheep, and the bed sheep, to name a few. The repetitive and rhythmic text engages children, encouraging them to join in the search and anticipate what comes next. The intrigue builds as the narrative flows seamlessly, tantalisingly asking, "But where is the green sheep?"

The beauty of Where is the Green Sheep? lies not only in its charming storyline but also in its ability to introduce young minds to essential concepts such as colours, opposites, and alliteration. Mem Fox's masterful use of rhyme, rhythm, and repetition ensures that the story is both educational and enjoyable. Judy Horacek's vibrant and expressive illustrations perfectly complement the text, bringing the sheep to life with bright colours and delightful expressions that capture the imagination.

According to Pat Pledger of readplus.com.au, "With the use of rhyme, rhythm and repetition, the narrative by Fox flows beautifully and young children will learn about colours, opposites and alliteration along the way. The illustrations by Judy Horacek are delightful and complement the text with their bright colours and the wonderful expressions on the faces of the sheep. A book to treasure and to hand down to the next generation. Highly recommended."

Mia Macrossan from storylinks.booklinks.org.au praises the book's enduring charm: "This much-loved rhyming rollicking quest for the green sheep has lost none of its zing and sparkle over the years. One of the reasons for this longevity is the clever rhyming text which never jars, but skips and sings along inviting children to recite along with the reader. The perfect read aloud, the perfect gift to new parents and an essential book in any school or home library."

Booklist adds, "Laughs and interactive play will ensue among readers and listeners," while the Horn Book Guide notes that it is "Perfectly attuned to a toddler's sense of playful discovery."

Kirkus Reviews describes Where is the Green Sheep? as "Just right for toddlers experiencing the basics of life and budding readers learning to complete their sentences by looking at words and pictures together," and Books for Keeps declares, "Oh what a beaut it is! Cunningly worked rhyming words make it a delight to read aloud, sharing with a very young reader who will want to return again and again to the story. Brilliant."

Celebrate two decades of the million-copy bestseller with this exquisite foiled collector's edition of Where is the Green Sheep? by Mem Fox and Judy Horacek. It's a timeless treasure that continues to enchant children and parents alike, making it a must-have addition to any book collection.
