Matt Cook is a favorite poet of Garrison Keillor's: Keillor has read five poems from Cook's first book "In the Small of My Backyard", and two poems from Cook's second collection "Eavesdrop Soup" on NPR's 'Writers Almanac'. Cook is well-known on the Poetry Slam circuit, and regularly does readings throughout the US. His work has been featured on NPR's 'Fresh Air', as well as in the PBS documentary, 'The United States of Poetry'.
