Devastating Hate
The Number One bestselling author of DWARVES returns: The Älfar Sinthoras and Caphalor have made it, with their armies, into the realm of the dwarves. But while they fight, their home lies defenceless against an old enemy . . .
They are the enemies of the dwarves and control the darkest magics, but even the power of the Alfar has its limits. To save their own people, they must enter into an unwinnable war.
Sinthoras and Caphalor, two very different Alfar, watch as their plans come to fruition: the hidden land - the home of the dwarves - has fallen to their army of trolls, barbarians, and Alfar, and now the lands of the hated elves are within their grasp.
But the alliance is beginning to crumble as greed triumphs over obedience. Sinthoras and Caphalor face another threat: an enemy from the empire of the Alfar, thought to be defeated, has resurfaced. While their best warriors fight in the hidden land, the Alfar homeland lies almost defenceless.

About the Author
Markus Heitz trained to be a teacher after studying history and German literature, then going on to an MA in History. He spent several years as a journalist, writing in his free time, before the runaway success of The Dwarves allowed him to give up the day job. His debut epic fantasy novel, Schatten uber Ulldart (Shadows over Ulldart) was the first of many of his books to win the Deutscher Phantastik Preis (Germany's premier literary award for fantasy) in 2003. Since then he has frequently topped the bestseller charts, and his Number One bestselling Dwarves and Aelfar series have earned him a place among Germany's most successful fantasy authors. The DOORS series, where each book follows the adventurers as they choose a different door, have earned him a whole new audience as he plays with fantasy, thriller and mystery tropes to keep the reader always interested. He currently lives in Saarland, in Germany.
