A quirky, heartfelt love story like no other: the kaleidoscopic debut novel from the bestselling author of Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow

Book Hero Magic formatted this description to make it easier to read. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! Description

Gabrielle Zevin has an incredible gift for storytelling. . . I am forever amazed . . . this is my new favourite 5-star reader review

The day he first meets Maggie is the day he understands what it is to be in love. Deeply, wildly, terminally in love.

What he doesn't know is that loving Maggie means loving many women at once. After a brief, intense courtship, the young couple set off to meet Maggie's family: Old Margaret, Marge, Mia and May, five women of different ages, all living together in a house called Margaron, in a place called Margarettown. Nothing in Maggie's world is quite like anywhere else.

Part rom-com, part fable, Margarettown is a novel about the many faces of love; how it makes lies out of truth and truth out of lies. It is the story of what it takes to love the same person for a lifetime - and about the impossibility of really knowing who it is we have come to love.

'Strange, quirky and brilliantly written' 5-star reader review

'This book was magical' 5-star reader review

'Unlike any book I have ever read before . . . one of my favourites' 5-star reader review

'Another amazingly intricate novel. . . [Gabrielle Zevin] continues to delight me!' 5-star reader review
