Book Hero Magic formatted this description to make it easier to read. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! Description

The first in a new series about an independent Amish woman and her struggles in career and romance.

The Weaving of Life introduces Susan Lapp, a hardworking Amish woman in her early twenties living in Lancaster. Susan enjoys the financial independence that her two jobs—as a housecleaner and at the local deli—afford her. Having witnessed her sisters' tumultuous relationships, she has no interest in dating or marriage, preferring her single life.

However, when her best friend Beth starts dating Susan's brother Mark, the couple is eager to play matchmaker for Susan. Reluctantly, Susan agrees to humour them and soon finds herself navigating her feelings between an undeniable attraction to one of Mark's coworkers and her firm decision to remain single.

Her complicated emotions lead her to experiences she never imagined: dealing with homesickness, enduring miserable weather in unfamiliar places, and coping with a challenging job. Despite her attempts to avoid romance, she finds herself yearning for the stability and comfort of a committed relationship back home.

Throughout her journey, Susan wrestles with fear and uncertainty as she struggles to understand God's will for her life. The Weaving of Life explores the balance between independence and connection, and the search for faith and fulfilment in unexpected places.
