The Carnivorous Carnival
On the run as suspected murderers, the unlucky Baudelaire orphans find themselves trapped in the Caligari Carnival, where they must masquerade as freaks in order to hide from the evil Count Olaf.
NOW A NETFLIX ORIGINAL SERIES
Everybody loves a carnival! Who can fail to delight in the colourful people, the unworldly spectacle, the fabulous freaks?
A carnival is a place for good family fun—as long as one has a family, that is. For the Baudelaire orphans, their time at the carnival turns out to be yet another episode in a now unbearable series of unfortunate events. In fact, in this appalling ninth instalment in Lemony Snicket's serial, the siblings must confront a terrible lie, a caravan, and Chabo the wolf baby.
With millions of readers worldwide, and the Baudelaires' fate turning from unpleasant to unseemly, it is clear that Lemony Snicket has taken nearly all the fun out of children's books.
The Carnivorous Carnival is an intriguing chapter in this unsettling series, perfect for readers who enjoy a mix of mystery, dark humour, and adventure.

The Carnivorous Carnival by Lemony Snicket, part of A Series of Unfortunate Events, is praised for its dark humour and clever wordplay, capturing the essence of the Baudelaire orphans' grim adventures. Reviewers appreciate the book's ability to entertain children with its engaging plot twists and unique narrative style, though some note its slightly macabre themes, which are characteristic of the series. Overall, it maintains the series' reputation for being both intriguing and somewhat haunting, appealing to young readers looking for something out of the ordinary.

About the Author
Lemony Snicket is often despondent, mostly about his published research, which includes A Series of Unfortunate Events and The Composer Is Dead. Due to the world-wide web of conspiracy which surrounds him, Mr. Snicket often communicates with the general public through his representative, Daniel Handler. Mr. Handler has had a relatively uneventful life, and is the author of three books for adults, The Basic Eight, Watch Your Mouth, and Adverbs, none of which are anywhere near as dreadful as Mr. Snicket's.
