About the Author
John T. Whitehead is a Professor and former Chair in the Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology at East Tennessee State University. He completed his M.A. at the University of Notre Dame and earned his Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from SUNY-Albany. He teaches courses in corrections, criminal justice ethics, and the death penalty. Kimberly D. Dodson is an Assistant Professor in the School of Law Enforcement and Justice Administration at Western Illinois University, Quad Cities. She completed her M.A. at East Tennessee State University and earned her Ph.D. in Criminology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She teaches courses in corrections, diversity, ethics, and professionalism in criminal justice, and organization and administration in criminal justice. Bradley D. Edwards teaches various courses at East Tennessee State University, including criminology, criminal law, research methods, and policy and criminal research. He completed his B.S. and M.A. at East Tennessee State University.
