Joyful Strains collects twenty-seven memoirs from writers describing their expatriation to Australia.
As with all shifts and turns in life, story matters. Joyful Strains collects 27 memoirs from writers describing their expatriation to Australia. Some have become household names, others quietly enrich their adopted home. All have had unique and fascinating experiences.
These are stories about what they found, who they became and what they now think of Australia, providing entertainment, perspective and cause to celebrate our increasingly diverse nation. This is an insightful, compelling and sometimes confronting collection for all Australians.
