About the Author

Kathryn Simmonds is a British poet and short-story writer. Her first book of poems, Sunday at the Skin Launderette (2008), won the Forward Prize for Best First Collection and was longlisted for the Guardian First Book Award.

Alison Brown studied Fine Art at Liverpool and then became a graphic designer. She lives in Leeds and has illustrated many much-loved books including You Make Me Happy and the Little Owl series by Debi Gliori.
