Nameless Acts of Cruelty by Julie Cameron follows Jeremy Horton, a man plagued by a past he tries to deny. Haunted by a dysfunctional childhood filled with dark secrets, one of which includes the suspicious death of his younger sister, Jeremy attempts to keep his focus firmly on his present life.

Married to lawyer Sarah and a father himself, Jeremy avoids looking back for fear of confronting what lurks in his rear-view mirror. Yet, a chance encounter stirs the memories he's battled to suppress. The passing of his estranged mother forces him back to his sleepy hometown, the very place where the family tragedy unfolded. Jeremy's return is motivated by a desire to finally uncover the truth behind his sister's death.

In tight-knit villages, memories endure, and Jeremy's presence quickly becomes an unwelcome reminder of past cruelties and secrets best left buried. The more he delves into the past, the more sinister the stories become, shaking his conviction in his own innocence. As anxiety spirals, someone desperately wants him gone, escalating their efforts to drive him away. Is it what Jeremy knows that frightens them, or the possibility of what he might have done?
