How to Starve Cancer by Jane McLelland presents a revolutionary approach to tackling cancer with remarkable insight and practicality. This gripping narrative reflects Jane's unwavering resolve and intellectual curiosity as she navigates the landscape of modern medicine, armed only with determination and self-belief. Facing a dire prognosis, Jane delves into a quest for survival, transforming herself into a 'modern-day Cancer Sherlock Holmes'.

Jane uncovers a groundbreaking synergy between a specialised cancer-starving diet, potent supplements, and re-purposed, low-toxicity medications, long forgotten in the medical archive. She reveals how this potent combination worked like alchemy, melting away her terminal cancer and giving her a chance when all seemed lost.

In this seminal work, Jane recounts her harrowing yet inspiring journey, chronicling not only her personal battle but also the medical epiphanies she achieved. Her realisation that overlooked drugs could be pivotal in cancer treatment challenges conventional wisdom, making How to Starve Cancer a bold narrative that questions and informs. Central to her approach is the easy-to-follow 'Metro Map', a visual and strategic guide she developed, spotlighting the drugs and supplements crucial to starving different types of cancer by blocking their specific fuel pathways.

The book serves as an invaluable resource, answering the pressing questions often faced when considering complementary cancer therapies. It delves into the efficacy of 'off-label' drugs, supplements, and dietary regimens such as the ketogenic diet. Jane elucidates the importance of fasting and the nuances of fat consumption, alongside guidelines for personalised exercise routines. She passionately advocates for an individualised treatment plan, guiding readers on how to tailor these strategies to their unique circumstances.

With elements reminiscent of cinematic narratives like Erin Brockovich and Dallas Buyers Club, this book is not merely a story of overcoming formidable odds but a vital beacon of hope and empowerment. It encourages those affected by cancer to explore beyond the boundaries of traditional treatment avenues. For anyone facing cancer, or supporting a loved one in this battle, How to Starve Cancer is a must-read that assures you there are still viable paths forward, even when conventional doors appear to close.
