Legislating Peace
Research demonstrates that women's participation in peace processes impacts the adoption of gendered peace provisions. This Element argues that women political representatives will shape the implementation of gender provisions in peace agreements. It considers the role of women elected to rebel parties and ex-rebel women representatives.
Women who were militants in rebel groups during war are foundational in facilitating the implementation of gender policies after war.
