Book Hero Magic formatted this description to make it easier to read. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! Description

Roland Barthes by Roland Barthes is the only autobiography by the great Roland Barthes, an esteemed philosopher, literary theorist, and semiotician.

This autobiography showcases the mind of one of the greatest thinkers of the twentieth century. As unique as its author, Barthes adopts the dual role of commentator and subject, unveiling his tastes, habits, passions, and regrets. No event, relationship, or thought is prioritised over another, nor is there any attempt to construct a conventional narrative.

Despite this structure, through a collection of vignettes, Barthes's life and perspectives on a myriad of subjects emergeβ€”ranging from money and love to language and truth.

With an introduction by Adam Phillips
