'Fierce and fascinating. This is the story Red Sonja has always deserved. Unmissable'
FELICIA DAY

'An epic debut novel from one of the most entertaining writers on the planet'
TOM TAYLOR

It's time to rage, drink and fight like a barbarian! Red Sonja: Consumed, the iconic She-Devil with a Sword, will meet a new generation of readers in this action-packed epic fantasy by legendary comic book writer Gail Simone, making her novel-writing debut.

Hot-headed, charismatic and always unapologetically herself, Red Sonja, the ferocious She-Devil and barbarian of Hyrkania has never concerned herself with the consequences of her actions. She's pursued all her desires, from treasure, to drink, to the companionship of bedfellows. She's fought those who deserve it (and sometimes those who didn't). And she's never looked back.

But when rumours start bubbling up from her homeland—rumours of unknown horrors emerging from the ground and pulling their unsuspecting victims to their deaths—she realises she may have to return to the country that abandoned her. Sonja must finally do the only thing that ever scared her: confront her past.

The most famous woman in comics writes the most infamous barbarian warrioress in this exhilarating debut novel

'Red Sonja and Gail Simone - she-devils with a sword and pen respectively. Don't fret about which is mightier, just savour this glorious fantasy epic'
M R CAREY

'Sonja is a fearless, iconic character that crackles with heart and relatable complexities... unique, cinematic, and memorable'

NANCY A. COLLINS

'Simone is a total sweetheart in the form of a sharp-as-a-machete genius. And her writing delivers that right into your eyeholes'
BRIAN POSEHN

'Gail Simone is poised to become the writer of Red Sonja just as Robert Jordan became the writer of Conan. Hold onto your axes, it's going to be a wild ride!'
MERCEDES LACKEY

'Everything Gail Simone writes - every world she explores, every character she brings life to - is infinitely improved'
PATTON OSWALT

'Gail Simone has won comics. And now she has come after novels'
CHELSEA CAIN

'Gail Simone is a living legend whose wit and characterisation is second to none'
SARAH REES BRENNAN
