A House Made of Books is a beautiful picture book from debut talent Frankie Gritton, about community, kindness, the power of stories—and the amazing things we can build when we come together.

Simon loves books. He loves them so much, he decides to build a house made of books. Simon works hard, stacking book after book, until he has the perfect cosy home—a house made of poems and pictures, stories and songs.

Simon is very happy in his new home—until one day, a neighbour stops by to borrow a book. Before long, everyone wants to borrow a book from Simon—and the little house starts to look a bit wobbly. But when Simon's house made of books comes tumbling down, his friends and neighbours come together to rebuild his home—bigger and stronger than ever before.
