From the Sunday Times No. 1 Bestselling author comes the latest instalment in an epic multi-million selling series, The Seven Sisters.

In the lavish and intoxicating world of international modelling, Electra D'Aplièse stands as one of the most sought-after faces. With her striking beauty, impressive wealth, and significant fame, she appears to embody the pinnacle of success. However, behind the glossy exterior, Electra grapples with deep personal turmoil. The recent death of her father, Pa Salt, the mysterious billionaire who adopted her and her six sisters from various corners of the world, has destabilised her already fragile mental state.

Unable to cope with her grief and the immense pressure of her career, Electra turns to alcohol and drugs as an escape, worrying those closest to her. Amid this turbulent period, she unexpectedly receives a letter from a woman claiming to be her grandmother. This powerful revelation sets Electra on a journey of self-discovery and healing, guiding her through layers of her family's hidden past.

The narrative takes readers back to 1939, to a time when Cecily Huntley-Morgan arrives in Kenya seeking solace from a broken heart. On the stunning shores of Lake Naivasha, Cecily stays with her godmother, a prominent member of the notorious Happy Valley set. Here, she encounters Bill Forsythe, a dashing bachelor and cattle farmer with strong ties to the proud Maasai tribe. As the threat of war looms, a sudden disaster compels Cecily to accept Bill's unexpected marriage proposal, leading her to a life of isolation in the Wanjohi Valley.

Throughout her time in this remote sanctuary, and with Bill often away, Cecily feels increasingly abandoned until she discovers a newborn baby left alone in the nearby woods. This moment of revelation brings with it a series of events that will reshape her destiny and intertwine with Electra's life in unimaginable ways.

About the Author

Lucinda Riley was born in 1965 in Ireland, and after an early career as an actress in film, theatre and television, wrote her first book aged twenty-four. Her books have been translated into thirty-seven languages and continue to strike an emotional chord with all cultures around the world. The Seven Sisters series specifically has become a global phenomenon, creating its own genre, and there are plans to create a seven-season TV series. Her books have been nominated for numerous awards, including the Italian Bancarella prize, The Lovely Books award in Germany, and the Romantic Novel of the Year award. In 2020 she received the Dutch Platinum award for sales over 300,000 copies for a single novel in one year - an award last won by J K Rowling for Harry Potter. In collaboration with her son Harry Whittaker, she also devised a series of books for children called The Guardian Angels series, based on stories told to her children whenever they were facing a challenging situation. Harry then wrote the books, and they are now being published internationally. Though she brought up her four children mostly in Norfolk in England, in 2015 she fulfilled her dream of buying a remote farmhouse in West Cork, Ireland, which she always felt was her spiritual home, and indeed this was where her last five books were written. Lucinda was diagnosed with cancer in 2017 and died on June 11th 2021, surrounded by her family.
