Description

The Moon Rabbit: A Celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival is a stunning keepsake re-telling of the Chinese myth behind the Mid-Autumn Festival. This captivating picture book tells us the story of Chang'e the Moon Goddess and the Moon Rabbit – a tale of love, immortality, and magic.

The ultimate picture book for young fans of fantasy, romance, and magic, it is illustrated by the artist behind the Celestial Kingdom series by Sue Lynn Tan.

Before moon-gazing, lighting lanterns, and enjoying mooncakes, Meilin asks her mother to tell her, once more, the story behind the Mid-Autumn Festival – the story of Chang’e and the moon rabbit; a tale of nine scorching suns, a brave archer, an ancient queen, an elixir of life, and a doomed love. Readers will be captivated by this story, which inspired one of the most significant festivals in Chinese culture, also known as the Moon Festival or Mooncake Festival.
