This book is jam-packed with activities and ready-made ideas that possess a creative edge. Discover activities like using ‘racing leaves’ to explore the physics of movement and creating natural dyes to 'paint with nature', providing a hands-on approach to learning about the pH scale. The lesson plans are aligned with all UK science curricula and encourage children to think critically and scientifically.

Tried and tested by expert authors, every activity uses materials that can easily be found outside or around the home and is adaptable for every setting – whether you have ample or minimal green space!

Teaching outdoors has proven benefits for mental health and wellbeing, and it creates natural links for discussing the environment and climate change in an engaging and accessible manner.
