Far From Home

Germany, 1944. Hitler's forces are wreaking unspeakable damage across Europe. In public, Gregor and Arielle von Auspeck are an aristocratic couple who play an important role in Berlin's high society. In private, they disagree with everything Hitler stands for. What Arielle doesn't realise is that life as she knows it is about to change forever.

Midway through a trip to occupied Paris, Arielle is forced to flee to the countryside under a new identity. She escapes to a remote town, masquerading as a Parisian widow. Only her daughter Marianna, stuck in Berlin, knows that her mother is hiding somewhere in France. While Arielle waits to be reunited with her family, her new friend Sebastien introduces her to the Resistance movement, who fight for good over evil.

When the war finally ends in 1945, everyone has lost someone, the von Auspecks included. Their possessions have long been seized, and Berlin lies in rubble. What happened to Marianna during the bombing? And can mother and daughter finally be reunited?

Arielle has lost almost everything she loves, but her will to survive only grows stronger...
