About the Author
Craig Hurd-McKenney is a Xeric grantβawarded and Ignatz Awardβnominated comic book writer based in Seattle, Washington, where he lives with his husband and four rescue dogs. Since launching his career in 2000, his work has carved a distinct niche in horror, sci-fi, and Victorian-inspired storytellingβoften blending genre elements with human emotion. His books include Some Strange Disturbances, The BrontΓ«s: Infernal Angria, and Boris Karloffβs Gold Key Mysteries. Craigβs upcoming titles include the graphic novel Station Grand (Oni Press), Curse of Dark Shadows (Hermes Press), and now Best Friend Show from Nakama Press, further expanding his imaginative, richly textured narratives.
Melisa is a Chinese American illustrator based in the SF Bay Area with a passion for video games and petting dogs. Because of her interest in illustration and comics at a very young age, she became known as "the artist friend" throughout her early school life. She attended Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, graduating in 2017 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Design. When she isn't drawing, Melisa can be found looking at pictures of tasty food on the internet and collecting shiny rocks.
