This panorama of the best of international contemporary design features emblematic works by the iconic designers of the Galerie kreo.

A retrospective of groundbreaking creativity, this volume offers an overview of contemporary design from the innovative Galerie kreo, where, for the past twenty years, internationally renowned designers have produced, exhibited, and distributed their works, perpetually pushing the boundaries on the theoretical and practical use of objects.

Founded in 1999 by Clémence and Didier Krentowski as a place for contemporary designers to experiment, the Paris and London-based galleries today remain firmly rooted in modernity, while simultaneously facilitating the development of design and designers who question both the past and future of design.

Pieces produced with Galerie kreo by the world's most exciting modern designers—from Marc Newson, Hella Jongerius, and Konstantin Grcic to Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec—are presented alongside pivotal moments in design history, placing the artists into context. This volume traces more than one hundred exhibitions held at Galerie kreo, where important designers and their emblematic works have defined the gallery's highly innovative approach, and charted the arc of contemporary design history.

An interview with the gallery's founders, an illustrated retrospective of their exhibitions, and tributes by Galerie kreo's key companions—including philosopher Christian Schlatter, design experts Marco Romanelli and Johanna Agerman Ross, and artist Bertrand Lavier—weave together the story of this unique design laboratory where a culture of innovation inspired new solutions in form and technique.
