Out of Step, into You

Out of Step, into You tells the emotionally charged story of Taylor and Marianna, who were once each other’s entire world—best friends, running partners, almost like sisters—until Marianna moved away and Taylor suddenly cut off all contact. Three years later, the former best friends and now rivals find themselves on the same cross-country team, reigniting a fierce competition that stirs up old feelings as well as new, unanticipated ones.

Marianna runs because she’s angry. As the oldest child of a single mother, she's well-versed in responsibility, whether it's for her siblings or at her part-time job. Her sole focus is to be faster than the past that chases her, so she can secure a brighter future for herself, with or without Taylor.

Taylor runs to prove herself. As the only child of a nearly-Olympic athlete, she is no stranger to high expectations. She’s determined that with enough effort, she can immortalise herself by setting a state record. Only after achieving that can she start to discover her true passion. She certainly hasn’t got the time to deal with her tangled emotions towards Marianna.
