The challenging task to develop enthralling room concepts and convincing spatial solutions for the efficient use of small houses and living spaces.
Small but Smart explores enthralling room concepts and convincing spatial solutions for the efficient use of limited space.
The aim to live in a mini house can have various reasons: for many, it represents a better, more liveable existence based on what is necessary, possible and desired, making one's life easier, more economical and more sustainable.
Limiting the floor space encourages a focus on essentials to integrate what one needs for life. With well-thought-out planning, cleverly organised floor plans and intelligent, compact concepts, a lot of space can be created in a small area.
Nowadays, both do-it-yourself protagonists and established architects, alongside hip design studios, have embraced the interesting challenge of developing sophisticated solutions for small homes and tiny houses.
This volume presents a diverse range of projects differing in architectural style, construction method and interior design.
