Description
Under Milk Wood shows a day in the life of a small seaside town called Llareggub.
We meet the inhabitants while still asleep, having wild dreams.
We follow them as they wake up and go about their business: in the school yard, on a boat bobbing on the bay, in a field full of nannygoats.
And, as dusk and darkness fall at the end of the day, we say 'Goodnight', tucking them back into bed, to sleep once more.

Dylan Thomas, born in Swansea, Wales, is one of the best-loved poets of the 20th century. He began work on Under Milk Wood, his 'play for voices' when he was just a teenager and finished it soon before his untimely death. This text and these characters are beloved across the world.Cerys Matthews (Author) Cerys Matthews is a musician, author and broadcaster born in Wales. Cerys's own children inspired this book, when she saw that they were tickled pink by Thomas's words, by dialogue like: 'I want to be a Good Boyo, but nobody'll let me', 'Pigs can't read, my dear' . . . 'I know one who can' and 'What'll you have?' . . . 'TOO MUCH!'' Her children wanted to know more, and so this book was born.Kate Evans (Illustrator) Kate Evans is an illustrator and painter, living in Bristol.
