About the Author
Bethany Loveridge is an author-illustrator, film and art teacher who has always loved storytelling and the natural world. Her work includes arts curriculum and advocacy and educational resources. Bethany won the Chapter Books Older Readers category at the CYA Conference in 2024 and was the winner of the Book Links Queensland Mentorship in 2023. She achieved third place in the Chapter Books Younger Readers category at the CYA Conference in 2023. She was shortlisted for the Varuna Residential Fellowship in 2022 and awarded an Australian Society of Authors/Copyright Australia Mentorship to develop her debut novel Harper Wells: Renegade Timeline Officer.

Jade Goodwin is an illustrator and proud Gamilaroi woman living and creating on Wonnarua Country in the Hunter Valley, NSW. Since illustrating her first children's book in November 2022, Jade has brought to life more than 23 titles across a range of celebrated series and picture books. Jade's illustrations are known for their warmth, vibrancy and heartfelt storytelling, often celebrating themes of culture, nature and connection. In 2024, she was featured by SBS/NITV for her contributions to authentic and inclusive representation in children's publishing. When she's not painting, sketching or working on a new book, Jade can usually be found with a coffee in hand, a cat on her lap, and a good book nearby, or out and about exploring to spark inspiration for her next illustration.
