Light it Up! (Nickelodeon: Avatar Legends Bending Academy: Fire #1) by Ash J. Wu introduces us to Adaki, an eleven-year-old who dreams of becoming a powerful Firebender. However, he feels he’s not progressing as he should.

When he gets the chance to train with his school’s best firebending master, Adaki eagerly takes it, despite having to compete in a tournament filled with older, more experienced, and more attitude-laden kids.

As training unfolds, Adaki is perplexed by the unexpected challenges—what do cooking and maths have to do with firebending? These experiences make him wonder whether he and his friends can overcome their inexperience to defeat the older competitors.

This captivating 144-page illustrated chapter book, set in the world of Avatar the Last Airbender, offers new characters and thrilling adventures.
